The annual five mile walk around the reservoir at Stoke Dry is organised by the Rotary Club of Uppingham.
It raises funds for LOROS (the Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering) as well as Rotary courses both locally and internationally. It's a rare chance to walk around the whole perimeter of the reservoir, which as well as.being a triple SI nature reserve it is also a major trout fishery. It was used in World War Two to train the Dambusters. Entry is by a suggested donation on the day of Sunday the 18th of August. Anyone is welcome to raise sponsorship in advance.
