Rutland Police told a driver his car could be seized and crushed after he woke people in Oakham town centre during the night by revving and popping his exhaust.
Officers think he was trying to impress his girlfriend. He was given a section 59 warning which means if he in any vehicle, or the vehicle itself with any driver is found again doing something similar in the next 12 months it can be seized and potentially crushed. The warning covers driving which causes alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public.
