Listener Survey 2026

Thank you to everyone who took part in our 2026 survey – it has provided us with insights into how our work is received, what we can do to improve and constructive feedback to help us with funding applications. The winner of the smart speaker will be announced shortly.
FM Licence
The results show that our listeners tune in mainly at home, in the car and at work, with the average listener spending four hours or more with us in a week- we love that we are part of your daily schedules. However, over 62% of responders did answer that they would listen more if we also had FM transmission, particularly in the car as they travel outside the local area. Moving forwards we will continue our efforts to increase our reach and transmission. In the meantime please do complete our FM petition here if you would also listen more as a consequence of FM.
What you love
There was outstanding support for Rob Persani, our station manager and breakfast show presenter, with special mentions for our team of presenters including their features, music choices and commitment to the local area. We are so lucky for their expertise and passion for community radio to keep the local area entertained.
Over 80% of listeners who took part in the survey tune in for local news and what’s on information with an impressive 86% of listeners feeling more connected to the local area as a result of our work. If you want to access more news content we have written news articles on our website. As well as broadcast coverage we provide local news, content and information across our social media as well as video pieces, programme insights, presenter details and competitions. Do make sure to follow us on Facebook and also Instagram to make sure you do not miss out.
Events Calendar
We are aware from the results that many responders are unaware of our online Events Calendar on our website. It is a hub of information about weekly and one-off local events from a variety of local groups, organisations, classes and businesses. Click here to see what’s on. If you are a charity or not-for-profit organisation you are very welcome to submit a local event for the Rutland and Stamford area for free. For commercial events we suggest a donation as detailed on our website, and Business Club members can add there events for free.
Spread the word!
We are proud that our Net Promoter Score- how likely someone is to recommend to a friend, relative or colleague- is significantly higher than the average score. The responses from our listeners equate to an NPS of 81%. This is an increase from 59% when the last survey was completed in 2023. According to Survey Monkey benchmark data, based on the NPS for Communications and Media industry, the average score is 29% (2024). If you have friends, family or colleagues in the local area please do keep letting them know about us- word of mouth is the best way for us to reach a new audience.
The survey has provided us with wonderful testimonials to help us with funding opportunities. As a Community Interest Company we rely on funding, advertisers, donations and our fundraising activities to keep running. We appreciate this does mean that adverts are part of our broadcast, but the income from these helps us to continue running as an independent community radio station. If you want to support us you can donate or join our Friends Club.
Thank you!
Thank you for all your feedback- we are working behind the scenes to keep broadcasting great music and local life. We will take on board all your feedback and we will use your lovely comments to boost our future applications.
