If you’re heading to the Stamford Santa Fun Run today, you’re being asked to park in the town centre car parks and allow time to walk up to the event, due to the ground conditions at Burghley Park following all the rain. Colin Furze is expected to start off the runners and walkers in spectacular style at 11am. The event, organised by Stamford Striders, is once again raising money for Sue Ryder’s Thorpe Hall Hospice, Mindspace Stamford and the Rotary Club of Stamford St Martins.
