A rare chance to become Lord of the Manor of part of Rutland is on offer for a price.

The title of Lord or Lady of the Manor of Manton is being sold with a guide price of £8,500. No land is attached, but there could be certain privileges which are yet to be discovered. Stephen Johnson from Agents Manorial Services says it's a rare chance to buy a local title.

‘Well Manton is a manor in Rutland and has been a manor in Rutland for the best part of 1,000 years and it's unusual for a manor in Rutland to come up for sale. I mean in the five or six years that we've been doing this, we haven't had any manors in Rutland. So it's an interesting opportunity if you're a fan of Rutland or you know you fancy being Lord of the Manor, this is a good opportunity for you’.
