It's hoped access to Stamford Railway Station can be improved after it made a government list where a feasibility study will take place.
There's currently no step free access to the westbound platform, which takes passengers to Oakham, Leicester and Birmingham. It is one of 50 stations where it's hoped to improve accessibility. MP Alicia Kearns has also written to the minister saying the current Victorian barrow crossing that avoids the footbridge needs rail staff to help and often leads to visually impaired and disabled passengers travelling to Peterborough where there's a lift and then doubling back on their journey.
