The road was closed for eight hours yesterday for accident investigation work - Rutland Police is asking anyone who saw what happened, or who has dashcam footage to get in touch.
A 54 year old motor scooter rider has died after his bike collided with a car on the A606 at Langham yesterday morning. A black Nissan Terrano was travelling south – the Piaggio PX motorcycle was heading north. The motorcyclist died at the scene – his pillion passenger, a woman in her 50s was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening or life changing. The driver of the car – a man in his 80s, was not injured. Rutland Police is asking anyone who witnessed the accident at around 10am yesterday, or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
