Flags are being raised to mark the start of Armed Forces Week in the grounds of Oakham Castle and outside Stamford Town Hall this morning.
In Oakham, the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland and Chairman of the Council will lead the short service from ten thirty. In Stamford, the Mayor will be joined by councillors and representatives of RAF Wittering and Royal British Legion from eleven AM. The public are welcome to both events.
