A major road in Oakham is set to close from this coming Monday through to early October, so work on a housing development can take place.
Brooke Road will be closed from Derwent Drive to Cricket Lawns, so the main road can be widened, as well as creating a new entrance to the allotments there. The road will be closed both sides of the railway line, and Rutland County Council says vehicle and pedestrian access will be maintained for houses within the closure at all times.
Nearby pay and display car parks will also be available for free to residents there, but they need to apply for a temporary permit from Burmor Construction.
