This year's Defender Burghley Horse Trials is set to be at least as popular as last year
when 170,000 visitors came along to the premiere five star event at Burghley House in early September. They're also celebrating 20 years of Land Rover's title sponsor. The route of the cross country course will also reverse this year for the first time since 2017. Event director Martyn Johnson says the signs are good at the box office for a bumper event.
‘It does, yeah. We've had good uptake. The box office has been, you know, very strong. So you know, we're hopeful that the attendance will be the same if not more than previous year. As you say 170,000 were here last year. So yeah, at the moment all things look positive’.
