It now costs more to park in Rutland's pay and display car parks from this week as new charges kick in.
Rutland County Council has introduced a new two hour ticket which cost 10p less than the old three hour rate which is up 70p itself and the up to six hours ticket is now gone. The price of a day ticket has increased to £7. A 30 minute free ticket is still available for use once a day and blue badge holders can park for free for up to three hours. Also motorbikes can now park for free in bays provided for them only. They still have to pay if they're in a normal car space. The price for a one year season ticket has increased by over £100 to £775.
