Over 40 local organisations are represented in the Stamford Lions Christmas Tree Festival which will run for a week longer this year.
The trees will be on display at St. John's Church alongside cards for good causes from today until the 15th of December. The Mayor of Stamford, Councillor Kelham Cooke is cutting the ribbon this morning. Schools, theatre groups, community organisations and local media including the Mercury and Rutland and Stamford Sound all represent it. The festival is also raising money for the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance by donation.
