The owners apparently notified the Council on 21st December that they plan to close the home and de-register the 18 bed home on 3rd January 2024. We understand eight residents are affected.
Rutland County Council is working over the holidays to place residents at Aberdeen House in Uppingham, after the owners told the Council days before Christmas they’d be closing very early in the new year. It’s believed the home is going into liquidation, and will be closed and de-registered on the third of January. Eight residents are affected – the Council says it’s stepped in to ensure alternative care arrangements are put in place for each individual based on their needs, and that they’re also supporting the care home manager and staff at the home on Stockerston Road.
