This week is Family Mediation Week to raise awareness of mediation and the help it can give to separating families. Ruth Hay is a Mediator in Rutland from Divorce Mediation Resolution and chats to Rob Persani about the week and services available.
There's a series of webinars and in person events also available this week for people wanting to find out about mediation, and the industry too. Details are at https://www.familymediationcouncil.org.uk/fmw/
Mediator Ruth Hay says the government voucher scheme is still running for help with costs, also that the Courts would be prefer separating or divorcing families to have tried mediation first, and it may avoid the court. Children if appropriate can also attend sessions. Ruth's website is www.divorcemediationresolution.co.uk
