Festive celebrations may be a little tentative this year, however, there are still plenty of local events to get your Christmas juices flowing.
While the national success story that is Stamford’s Cards for Good Causes Shop may be closing its doors, others are just about to open as the festive holidays get underway around the region:
It's not really Christmas without a panto, so the Stamford Pantomime Players open their production of Jack and the Beanstalk from the 27th December until the 1st January at the Stamford Corn Exchange (What's On at The Corn Exchange Stamford | Comedy, Music and Dance (stamfordcornexchange.co.uk) )
For film lovers, the Stamford Arts Centre is showing Frank Capra’s classic Christmas movie ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th December at the Stamford Theatre (Stamford Arts Centre )
Carol Singers will be walking the streets of Collyweston on Wednesday 22nd December, bringing some festive cheer to the village. It begins at the Collyweston Slater at 6pm.
And, for those last minute shoppers, both Stamford and Uppingham Markets will be open on Christmas Eve.
