Two Freemasons from Stamford are due to return home late this afternoon to a fundraising party at the Danish Invader.
Landlord Chris Needham, along with Charlie Green, is pedalling 116 miles from London to Stamford, and this is the final of their two days having raised thousands of pounds for four charities close to them.
The Mayor of Stamford, councillor Jane Kingman, is expected to welcome them back to the pub on Empingham Road as the day of live music and further fundraising will be well underway. Richard, from the Freemasons, hopes lots of locals come down to join in the homecoming celebration on Saturday:
"We've got a gazebo which will have information about Freemasonry with Freemasons from Stamford being able to talk to anybody who's interested. And what we encourage is as many people as possible to come and welcome them back and enjoy all the entertainment that Chris is well known for putting on."
"2 til 4, we have a solo singer, 4 til 6, we've got an acoustic solo, 6 til 8, we've got a live band. And then eight til 10 we have a live band, which is actually Charlie's dad, who's Charlie on the tandem with me. So his dad's doing the finale for us.
So great mix of music. We've got a barbecue on from five o'clock and it's just going to be a fun afternoon, hopefully a sunny afternoon in the beer garden, beer, music, and me and Charlie in Lycra. What more do you want?"
