The Friends of Stamford Hospital has presented its final donation as it hands over responsibilities to the charity for the Northwest Anglia Trust.
Formed in 1963, it's raised over half a million pounds with more than half of that In the past 26 years. They've bought several key pieces of equipment; their final donation is a portable ultrasound probe for prostate health to help identify high-risk patients that may need an MRI, reducing unnecessary scans and improving access to care. They've also supported gynaecology, ophthalmology, the MRI unit itself and funded a bladder scanner.
