It's three years to the day since a soldier from Stamford
left the town to help deliver aid in Ukraine. Tonight there's a fundraising performance for Jack Bon Holly and also the church mission projects at Barn Hill Methodist Church which features Ukrainian singers and dancers. The Spirit of Song and Dance begins at 6:00pm. Jack says he's committed to doing whatever the people of Ukraine need back home.
‘I always said when I went out there that I would do whatever was necessary and help anyway I could. So we sort of moved on from frontline work and evacuations more to supplying soldiers directly with whatever they need. So primarily delivering things like tools, supplies, things they need to build fortified positions or protect their vehicles. I have a sort of additional roles because I have so much spare time on my hands have developed into exploiting some of my old electronic knowledge. So I help fix drones. Anything we can do to help Ukraine’.
