A man has been arrested in connection with a high value theft at Stamford Garden Centre.
Officers rushed to the site at Great Casterton yesterday to find the suspect unable to escape after the owner and staff blocked exits and called police. The man from outside the county, who was also found to be in possession of cannabis, is accused of attempting to steal over £2,500 worth of goods. He spent the night in custody at Melton Police Station. Officers have been examining Garden Centre CCTV.
