It's hoped the streets of Stamford, Bourne, the Deepings and Grantham can be even safer at the weekend in the future, thanks to an injection of £172,000 from the government, which was yesterday approved by South Kesteven District Council's Cabinet.
Measures in the bid include more CCTV monitoring at the weekend, as well as an upgrade of the technology and an extension of the Pub Watch scheme, and also more support for people who are vulnerable.
