South Kesteven District Council has spent nearly £200,000 improving play parks
across the district including several in Stamford, Deeping, Bourne and South Witham. £100,000 came from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, £35,000 from Developer Contributions and £68,000 from council funds. Over £24,000 was spent on Highgrove Gardens in Stamford, opposite the Danish Invader, replacing two slides and a double seat swing. Two separate swings were also installed at the Wild Witham play area in South Witham. Improvements were also made to Elizabeth Road, Andrew Road and Foxglove Road play parks in Stamford, the Wellhead park in Bourne, Manor Close in Langtoft, Churchfield Close and Kesteven Drive in the Deepings. Oakham Town councillors will also use levelling up money to improve facilities at Cutts Close Park with a new inclusive roundabout.
