Oakham in Bloom's annual fundraising jigsaw sale is in its final day today in the hope of buying more bulbs for the town’s Daffodil Trail.
A wide variety of new and used but complete puzzles have been donated and Gates Garden Centre have also supported the event and will discount bulbs bought for planting by the bloomers too. It's being held at 15 Lonsdale Way inOakham between 10:00am and 3:00pm. Founder Joyce Lucas says they've got a wide range of puzzles to suit all abilities and ages
‘You can buy for a small donation jigsaws for people who are incapacitated with hands. Because they've got big pieces. Because I can only do the big piece ones. We've got children jigsaws. They've gone tremendously. I just want somebody to buy some of the big jigsaws for children where you have to put them on the floor, which is a bit of a scramble really’.
