A number of people from the Rutland and Stamford area have been recognised for their work in the New Year's Honours.
Pathologist and medical examiner Dr Suzy Lishman from Rutland becomes a Dame for services to the medical examiner system and to patient safety Dame Suzi had previously been awarded a CBE for her work. The former chief Constable of Leicestershire Police, Rob Nixon, has been made a CBE for services to policing and criminal justice and the former chief executive officer of South Lincolnshire Academies Trust Lucy Conley, from Stamford, has been awarded an MBE for services to education. A career of 35 years, the trust includes Bourne Academy which is now ranked as the top performing non selective secondary school in the whole of Lincolnshire.
