Works are underway to reclad the Rutland Water Nature Reserve building at Egleton.
The maintenance needs to be done this time of year to avoid disruption to breeding birds and the migration season. Different parts of the building are restricted through three phases of work over the next few weeks, which starts with one of the larger areas of the building, then towards the right hand side of the entrance and finally the main entrance area from the 8th of September, when the building will be closed for just over a week. People who need blue badge parking at Egleton will not be able to park next to the building whilst it's all going on. Instead the blue badge area is being created in the main car park. The building dates back to the early days of Rutland Water.
