Melton Mowbray - the 'rural capital of food', is holding the Artisan Cheese Fair this weekend.
Judging at the UK’s largest cheese fair takes place today at St Mary’s Church in Melton. Known widely as the rural capital of food, Melton Mowbray is hosting forty cheesemakers who are expected to bring 200 cheeses along for the fair. After judging is completed at 5 o’clock today the cheeses will be available to everyone to sample for an hour.
