Two teams from Melton Round Table are crossing the Channel this morning as they take on this year's Skinflint rally.
They'd like to thank all their local supporters, including several businesses in Melton and Rutland who've helped with sponsorship and with their budget cars. They're travelling to Nice and back in £400 vehicles, a distance of 4,000 miles.
Last year they raised over £8,000 for a specially adapted wheelchair for a 6-year-old boy, the UK's youngest ever stroke survivor. This year, they're supporting the Harley Jae Trust in Nottingham, named after a boy who had a life-limiting condition. The charity supports families with life-limiting or long-term health needs in children.
