Rutland and Stamford's MP says she's ready to return to parliament as a member of the opposition.
Conservative Alicia Kearns, who was elected to the new constituency with a majority of just over 10,000, says she's been preparing herself for the new landscape:
"I think it's going to be very difficult in coming days, so I've lost a lot of very good friends. It is going to be a very difficult picture and I hope that we don't see vitriol from others and that we see the respectful politics that I try to bring, although of course we all make mistakes, you know. There'll be times that I'll let myself down as well. But my role is to go back and fight for that common ground, fight for people to believe in the Conservative Party again, to bring the country with us and unite around that common ground. And that's what I've always tried to do, bring politics to a respectful place where we fight for the common ground, for the shared values we have across this country."
