Rutland and Leicestershire's Police and Crime Commissioner has awarded nearly £70,000 to disrupt rural criminality and protect livelihoods
Rupert Matthews has selected a series of projects for the first round of his Community Action Fund focused exclusively on rural crime. Initiatives include the Datatag Hi-tech property event at Melton Mowbray Market with support from the force's rural crime team, crime workshops and equipment including CCTV, security lighting and wireless driveway alarm systems for farmers and a roadshow event at the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust's Loddington Estate.
