Villagers in parts of Rutland have told us they believe nearly a mile of copper cable were stolen from the ground,
as Openreach try and restore phone and Internet to hundreds of homes in Edith Weston, Normanton, North and South Luffenham and even possibly as far as Uppingham. Engineers have been working at the side of the road since yesterday and say it could take days to restore connectivity to homes and businesses in the area.
