Plans have been revealed for a second large solar farm for part of Rutland after permission for Mallard Pass covering six villages on the Rutland/Lincolnshire border was granted
within days of Labour coming to power. Kilnside Energy Park wants to cover an area from Pickworth to Great Casterton and across the Exton Park, where there's already an application in for a smaller site bordering Barnsdale. Like Mallard Pass, Kilnside is expected to connect to the National Grid near Ryhall from its base near Great Casterton.
