Rutland Police is reminding drivers to check their speed and their tyres after a car was damaged in an accident with a tractor over the weekend.
Officers believe the collision was primarily caused by excessive speed in poor weather, but also found all of the car's tyres were under the legal tread limit, with a wire showing through the rubber. No one was thought to be injured, but police believe the car did skid down the road as it attempted to stop.
