After a lengthy and problematic resurfacing project, Red Lion Square is gradually opening up to normal traffic once more, ahead of its planned completion date next month.
The roadworks at Red Lion Square in Stamford are retreating slowly but the one-way system is still in place from St John’s Street. Red Lion Street is now open on a one-way basis so that drivers can now access Broad Street from the All Saints church entrance. A no-entry sign is displayed at the Broad Street end warning drivers of the current one-way status of the connecting road.
Work to replace the stone sets is scheduled to complete by the middle of next month.
