The incident was reported at 1.30am on Thursday morning - Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Two men have been arrested as detectives continue to investigate a report of assault on Melton Road in Oakham in the early hours of this morning. A 22 year old and 21 year old are in custody, having been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. Police were initially called to reports three people had been assaulted – a 30 year old woman, a 21 year old man, and a year 19 year old man who was taken to hospital and remains in a stable condition.
