Leicestershire Police Federation has welcomed the decision that Rutland and Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner has stepped up his bid to the panel to a £15 increase on a band D property to the precept to help fund frontline officers.
It's the maximum allowed without a referendum. Chair of the Federation, Andy Spence, is calling for Rupert Matthews to commit to giving it all to the force and not divert any into prevention schemes and charitable initiatives.
