Rob says "And from bringing you the local news to making it myself."
"This morning when we were broadcasting from Uppingham, the High Sheriff of Rutland, Richard Cole surprised me with an award from his year in office for contribution to the community."
The High Sheriff says:
"The certificate itself says, in recognition of great and valuable service to the community. And some of the things people have said about you in nominating you is you are a genuine community champion. You do go the extra mile, both at Rutland Radio and now with Rutland & Stamford Sound. Other things they've commented on is what you did during COVID to keep the community communicated with. You've raised the awareness of charities and good causes throughout your time on the radio, promotion of events as you're doing today, everything that's good about Rutland."
Rob says "I'm truly honoured to be honoured."
