Rutland County Council's Cabinet meets this morning and next year's budget is on the agenda.
The council says this budget strategy seeks to strike an appropriate balance between protecting residents from the immediate impact of Council Tax increases and ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the authority in the context of local government reorganisation, bearing in mind those in a Band E property pay up to £300 more a year than those they're seeking to partner with in Northwest Leicestershire. The full council will meet to agree the budget at the end of the month.
