Rutland County Council is continuing to look west and east as plans for local government reorganisation are explored.
Leader Gale Waller has issued a statement saying they are gathering evidence for both the North City South proposal which would see Rutland joined with Melton and Charnwood in northwest Leicestershire, and the possibility of joining with several south Lincolnshire District councils including South Kesteven. A full council meeting on the 20th of November near the government's next deadline will include a non-binding vote on their draft proposals.
