A new Coffee Morning is taking place for the first time at Barleythorpe today, to help support family or friends who raise a child when their parents aren't able to.
The Rutland Kinship Coffee Morning is at the King's Centre at Barleythorpe between 10.30 and 12.30 today. Jill Nutton has helped set it up.
"The very first one, we don't know who's coming, we hope lots of people come because there's such a massive need for support for kinship carers because there's nothing in the county, but everywhere nationally it's pretty poor. But it's been organised with myself and the Kinship Care organisation. It's a charity organisation, with support from Rutland Council, so it's going to be really good, we hope."
