Six Rutland primary schools have been working with Voluntary Action Rutland in the second year of a program designed to inspire volunteering in young people.
Yesterday, a showcase event was held at Oakham School featuring some of the inspiring ways older primary aged children were helping the community. Catmos Primary, Brooke Hill, Edith Weston, Leighfield, Ryhall, and Langham were all involved. Over three hundred and fifty hours of volunteering was carried out in just a few weeks across the schools and lots of fundraising too.
