in Gretton Shirley Fursdon has stepped down after 70 years service with Gretton and District Royal British Legion.
She turned 90 recently and a successor has been appointed. Shirley attended the American Air Forces Spanhoe Airfield Memorial and Gretton Baptist Chapel yesterday followed by the wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial in the village.
