The founder of a Stamford food waste organisation is urging shoppers to think twice before they do their Christmas food shop
and could buy more than they need and also to use the food they buy wisely. George Hetherington says Christmas is the worst time of year for food waste with 30% of all food in the world going to landfill. For those who need it or support the reduction of food waste, George’s Food Hubs are open today as normal and back on Boxing Day afternoon with as much excess food as they can collect.
