A new modern open plan office will allow the sale of the old premises and an easier way of working say SKDC.
South Kesteven District Council is moving to new offices on Monday, in a move they say will save them £300,000 a year in running costs. The Council headquarters is changing to a modern, open plan office on the top floor of Grantham’s cinema. The move from the ageing building at St Peter’s Hill was approved in May, they say it would have needed significant investment to change to a new way of working, which now includes a blend of home and office, reducing the need for such large premises. The old offices are expected to be sold. Customer services is currently based temporarily at the Guildhall Arts Centre, and may move to the ground floor of the cinema complex. All phone numbers are expected to remain the same.
