The charity Christmas card pop up shop at St John’s Church, Stamford, is closing its doors today after a ten week run that saw it outperform almost every other Cards for Good Causes shop in the country.
Today is the last day for shopping at Cards for Good Causes in Stamford. The pop up shop within St John’s church has been running for ten weeks and has raised over £100,000 for local and national charities who have cards stocked at the store.
CEO of Cards for Good Causes, Jeremy Lune, told us mid way through their trading that the Stamford shop is one of the most important ones in the country:
“There are only two shops in the whole of the country that are doing more [than Stamford]” Jeremy says “A market town is outperforming some very big city centre locations. It’s just a real joy to come here.”
The shop has been staffed entirely by volunteers over the ten weeks and has been a regular festive fixture for over two decades.
