Stamford’s outgoing mayor has recognised the achievements of Stamford Rugby Club i
in playing at Twickenham for the very first time. At this week's Annual Town Meeting, Councillor Kelham Cooke, presented a certificate of appreciation and the Stamford Shield for the club for reaching the final of the Papa John's Community Cup and playing at the home of English Rugby for the first time in its 123 year history. Councillor Cook says it was in recognition of their sporting success and the pride they brought to the town.
