A gents and ladies salon in Stamford is thanking lots of local businesses for their support
in a prostate cancer raffle. Cuts ‘n’ More on Silver Lane is selling tickets until the end of March. Manager Julie Broughton explains why they're doing it.
‘It's quite in the forefront of everybody's minds at the moment, you know, with Sir Chris Hoy and everybody. We've got two staff members husbands going through it as well. So you know it being a barbers, we get a lot of customers mention it as well, prostate cancer. So it's just something that we thought we try and give a little bit back with the help of local businesses. We are going to do the hamper as one prize but I think there's probably more than 20 envelopes and more to come yet, so it's a worthwhile cause. To me everybody is going to get something. We've been really, really pleased with everything’.
