Stamford Town Bridge is set to reopen to traffic by lunchtime over a week ahead of schedule.
Final resurfacing took place last night. Pedestrian access opened for the evening. Lincolnshire County Council's engineers have spent six weeks re-waterproofing the Grade 2 listed structure.Including painstakingly numbering every stone to make sure it goes back where it came from. The floral arrangements have also been put back on the bridge ready for the reopening.
