A knitting exhibition which follows that one which started life in Oundle,
opens at Peterborough Cathedral today. The Longest Yarn II is an 80 metre 3D knitted and crocheted exhibition that brings to life the story of World War Two from the home front to VE Day. Created by global volunteers, the 80 individual panels feature scenes like the Blitz. the Women's Land Army, rationing and life size figures honouring those who served. It's open daily until the 27th of June alongside the titanosaur at the place of worship in the city which also serves Rutland.
