A schoolgirl from Uffington has raised over £750 for Stamford Prostate Cancer Group by doing a sponsored walk with her friends.
15-year-old Amelia Stephens, who goes to Bourne Grammar, wants to support her neighbour, Paul Earley, who's a member of the group. Several of her friends joined her on the walk, which was also supported by the Bertie Arms and Uffington Cricket Club, who helped raise funds.
"So my neighbour recently struggled with prostate cancer himself, and I wanted to do something back to him, and this is what I came up with and had the idea to do. With a new charity, I always think it's important they need a bit of a start, help, and obviously any help I can do that's all going to benefit them a lot. So I wanted to do something, you know, to give them that extra push."
