Walkers Book Shop in Stamford leads the votes as the winners of Alicia Kearns Favourite Independent Shop Awards are announced today.
Over 41,000 votes were cast across 20 categories. The awards seek not just to celebrate but also to help raise the profile of local independent businesses across Rutland, Stamford, South Kesteven and the Harborough villages.
‘The votes are in, we counted over 40,000 of them and I'm overjoyed to announce the winner of this year's Rutland and Stamford Favourite Independent Shop is Walkers Book Shop and I am just overjoyed for them because they are such a fabulous family business.
