All local cricket fixtures were unfortunately washed out. The exception was in the Lincolnshire Premier Cricket League Division 3 South, where Uffington 1sts game was conceded by Grantham 3rds. As a result, congratulations to Uffington who are champions.
Football
Leicester City remain without a league win after a goalless draw at MK Dons. Peterborough United suffered a 4-0 defeat away to Blackpool.
The Daniels still await their first points of the season after losing 3-0 at home to Rushall Olympic.
Deeping Rangers are also without a point in the United Counties Premier Division North after losing 3-2 at Heanor Town. Bailey Baker and a Harvey Thorne penalty with their goals.
Blackstones produced a suburb comeback in the Preliminary Round of the Sports Ground Development United Counties Cup winning 9-8 on penalties at Histon after 3-3 at full time. The hosts had led 2-0 but Finn Rawlings and a Josh Sennett double put them in front only to be cancelled out in the 95th minute.
To Peterborough and District League Division 1 and Ketton Sports Premiair started their season with 3-2 home win over Yaxley Reserves thanks to three second half goals. Soloman Snelling with the first, Nathan Bedford and Joe Burborough completing the scoring.
Daniel Reserves fixture at Eye Rangers in the Premier Division was postponed.
Cottesmore bounced back after last week’s defeat in the Everards Brewery Premier Division as they put in a gritty performance to win 2-1 at unbeaten Aylestone Park Reserves thanks to a Leon Kavanagh brace.

Uppingham Town remain top of Division 1 as they beat Uffington 1sts away by 6 wickets after dismissing them for 97. Burghley Park 1sts lost by 207 runs to visitors Newborough 1sts who had made 342-6.
Oakham 1sts last fixture of the season in Division 2 was cancelled at top of the table Pak Azad 1sts due to a waterlogged pitch with both teams awarded 5 points. The wait is now on for the next two weeks to see if Oakham 1sts remain out of the bottom two as Northampton Saints 1sts and City 2nds can still go above them.
Grantham and Melton Cricket Association Division 2
In a game reduced to 30 overs a side, Burghley Park 2nds lost by 35 runs at Quorn.
